Des Moines Menace next Up

June 14, 2015

Winnipeg - Manitoba: In Saturday's game, Brandon Swartzendruber scored his first goal of the season and added a second to lead the Thunder Bay Chill to a 4-0 victory over WSA Winnipeg.

Sergio Campano Franco scored the third goal when he found himself facing Dylan O’Conner after some tic tac toe passing. He finished by placing the ball into the open goal. Sean Reynolds rounded out the scoring with the ball ending up at his feet during a goal mouth scrum.

Chill head coach Giovanni Petraglia felt the team played better this evening but feels that there is still room to improve. “I was happy with our execution this evening but we need to deal with some situations much better than we did tonight” he said, referring to a few opportunities that WSA had that could have ended up in the back of the net.

Thunder Bay (3-0-2) remained undefeated in 2015 and finished the night tied for second place in the Heartland Division.

Sunday's game ended in a similar manner, only Moses Danto scored for the Pack in the 90th minute. "The Thunder Bay Chill are a strong PDL team and have proven themselves to be strong play-off contenders," said Coach Badescu. "We will learn from this weekend as we prepare for the Menace," continued Badescu.

The Des Moine Menace will be in town for a single game next weekend, Sunday, June 21, 2015. The game will take place at the WSF Outdoor Complex on Waverley at 7:30 pm.
