Sunday afternoon game summary 3 - 2 victory

Monday, June 2, 2014:  We had a another great day weather wise for WSA Winnipeg’s second home game of the 2014 PDL season….....The Thunder Bay chill seemed to rest on their laurels from their victory on Saturday and WSA Winnipeg came out on fire from the opening whistle. The boys kept attacking and you started to see cracks in the Chill defense that were not there in the first game…..Moses Danto was on fire and his hard work rewarded him with 2 goals in the first half……….Josh Partaker continued his great work between the pipes…..Goaltending was going to be a question this year as Tyson Ferago had been promoted to the NASL Edmonton FC Pro team……Once again the stream of yellow cards were in view as The officials did not hesitate in handing them out…….Halftime it was 2-0 for WSA… The second half started like the first ended and Braeden Silva calmly put one in the corner of the chill net in the 46th minute……..that score made it 3-0 but it did not last long as a chill player was dumped in the our box and a penalty shot was awarded and converted by the chill’s Nolan Intermoia……WSA then tried to play a possession and defensive game for the rest of the half but the yellow cards came coming out of the referees pocket and thus Eric Smith was ejected for his 2nd yellow card thus will not be available for Thursdays game against the Springfield Demize……….the chill kept attacking and were finally rewarded with a goal in extra time to make it 3-2….WSA hung on for the rest of the game  to secure their 2nd win of the year making their record now as 2 wins 2 losses and 1 tie for a total of 7 points……..A great effort by our boys………Next game is Thursday June 5th at 07:00 P.M. against the Springfield Demize…. who we will be looking for revenge of the game in Springfield where we lost 1-0. Hope to see you there cheering our boys on……
